Serano Gold 2001, Oldenburg, bay, 1,74m Stm.
Serano Gold definitely has an unusual personality. His unique aura, aristocratic bearing and charm will captivate you and win you over at every encounter. He himself is a very modern and elegant creature, with long legs and excellent motor skills in his hindquarters. His basic gaits are outstanding, and his movement sequences are elastic and easy. Thanks to his remarkable rideability, riders will enjoy an experience which leaves nothing to be desired. He was licensed in 2005 and emerged from the 30-day test as the winner as regards rideability.
Through his sire Sandro Hit and his damsires Gundstein II and Futuro, there is an optimal genetic basis for his dressage faculties. His dam pedigree Edosta, from which his mother Eskoria was bred, is one of the best that German horse breeding has to offer.
This bloodline regularly produces licensed stallions, horses that compete in the Federal championships and horses that are successful in the Grand Prix. Serano Gold’s dam Eskoria bred five licensed colts which are all successful in Class S and higher.
Serano Gold began his sporting career under Edward Gaal. As a three-year-old he was national champion; he also qualified three times for the Federal German championships and reached the final as a three-year-old. Thereafter he was trained for St. Georg and was presented very successfully. After a three-year sojourn in Scotland he returned to Austria to the stables where his offspring Solitaire Gold and Silenzio Gold are kept.
Here he is undergoing further training in the Grand Prix class under Marcus Nowotny, qualified rider at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna.
All these qualities indicate a very high degree of security with respect to the heredity which Serano Gold will pass on as regards modern characteristics, movement quality, rideability and aura.
It should also be mentioned that the foals from his first two breeding seasons were all award winners without exception. They are characterised by elegance, long legs, great movement sequence and strong character. In 2008 and 2009 he also sired the winning foal in Austria. To date according to the FN he has 127 offspring in Germany that are active in sport. Of these, 45 were placed during 2016.
All Serano Gold’s offspring demonstrate a faultless character, a willingness to work and a high degree of rideability. To date the stallion has two licensed sons, 34 registered brood mares and 7 mares who have won national awards. The first years of his offspring are just starting to attract attention in the higher classes, also in Belgium, Holland, Switzerland and Austria. That is one more reason to use Serano Gold more frequently again as a stud stallion.
To mention just a few:
His son Cashmir, damsire Michelangelo, who was a licensed winner in Sweden and finalist among the young dressage horses in Verden; Solitaire Gold, damsire Master, who has already been widely praised as Federal Champion among four-year-old dressage horses in Austria; his brother Silenzio Gold; Smilla P, who was national champion filly; and Sparkling Fizz and Serana III.
Serano is licensed for Oldenburg, Rhineland, Westphalia, Austria and all South German Horse Breeders’ Associations.
Serano Gold is a guarantee for horse breeders that his qualities will be passed on to his offspring and it is a pleasure for us to recommend him.
